Project Directors (Large EPC Projects)

Responsibilities :

The selected candidate will lead multi-million dollar projects and will be responsible for large teams of engineering, construction, material control and project management professionals, as well as external vendors.

He/She will :

· Prepare/study the build strategy as per client specifications and prepare Master Project Plan for the project.

· Ensure project milestones and commercial controls are achieved by effective planning, logistics control and execution.

· Lead project teams through a regular system of reviews to identify & manage risks, monitor operational performance against agreed timescales, and initiate corrective action, where appropriate.

· Lead ancillary functions i.e. HSE, Planning, Controls, Procurement, Engineering, Cost Control, Risk Management etc. and work closely with Finance and HR.

· Ensure compliance with all corporate practices and standards.

· Act as senior focal point for all customer contact, including all customer requests, queries and concerns, throughout contract lifecycle

· Coordinate with various parties – internal and external - involved with the project execution to ensure that overall risk is minimized/eliminated.

· Provide regular Project Reports to senior management and the client.

· Ensure adherence to the required documentation processes.

· Implement best practices, systems and processes.

· Train, mentor and motivate team members.

Requirements :

Ideal candidates will be senior, highly experienced Project Management professionals with :

· Masters or Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering from reputed institutions. An MBA, preferably in Project or Construction Management, and relevant Project Management certification will be desirable.

· At least 15 years of relevant experience with large EPC companies, Contractors, Construction Management or Design & Engineering houses

· Exposure to managing large water treatment projects would be ideal

· Hands-on experience in using Project Management software

· Exposure to managing complex, very large projects involving multi-functional internal teams and external vendors

· Prior experience of working in Asia or Middle East preferred but not essential

· Excellent leadership, project management and man-management skills

· Personable, culturally adaptable and flexible personality
